The DroneTracker by Dedrone GmbH is a multiple-sensor unit (stationary or portable) with an updatable software that has a user-friendly interface and can be installed on a PC, a pad or a smartphone. Based on multiple parameters such as noise, shape, and movement patterns, it is unlike any other drone warning system able to reliably detect all types of drones. The DroneTracker guards against spying, smuggling, potential terrorist attacks and invasions of personal privacy. The size, speed and varying shape of drones make identification extremely difficult for a single monitoring method. Therefore, DroneTracker utilizes an array of sensors to detect drones in real time.

DroneTracker's microphones have a reach of 50-80m. Civilian UAV's have typical acoustic characteristics that we use for their reliable detection. Each DroneTracker is equipped with a daylight camera. We are using enhanced image analysis functions to analyze the live video feed. The DroneTracker can be equipped with an infrared camera. The data is interpreted by means of enhanced image analysis methods.

Fixed DroneTracker units can be mounted permanently to facades or special masts, in order to survey a defined section of the sky 24/7. DroneTracker Mobile isdesigned for the temporary use, for example for early drone detection at state visits, public conventions, concerts or sporting events. You can mount it to a tripod and set it up anywhere. DroneTracker Mobile is supplied with power and connected to the internet via the special Tec Case.

A browser-based, user-friendly web interface allows you to easily configure the DroneTracker or retrieve data such as videos or the history of previous drone alarms. The monitored airspace can be viewed in real time on a computer, smartphone or tablet. When a threat is detected, you will be notified immediately via SMS, email, SNMP, network message (TCP/IP) or Pushover.net.

Based on multiple parameters such as noise, shape, and movement patterns the DroneTracker scans surrounding airspace and sends data to the cloud-located database. A several-node framework can be used at larger areas such as stadiums or penitentiary facilities.

The intelligent DroneTracker software categorizes every detected drone on the basis of its individual characteristics such as size, shape, movement, and sound. Dedrone stores this signature – known as the Drone DNA – in a cloud-based database that is constantly and actively enlarged. Our clients can also send us videos of drones that the DroneTracker has detected without triggering an alert (so-called false-negative alerts). We evaluate these videos and add the new signatures to the database in the same way. All DroneTrackers worldwide receive regular DNA updates, so all users benefit from a protection network that is constantly growing.

The great advantage of the DroneTracker is that all data is processed and intelligent functions performed in the device itself and via cloud computing. There is no need to install additional computers in your data center. Use the browser-based, user-friendly software interface to configure your DroneTracker with just a few clicks via computer, tablet or smartphone. The drone detection system is regularly updated via cloud.

The system will be augmented by the active counter-drone functions in the future.
